using SE phone like talkie-walkie

i just wanted to know if there is any information that SE future phones will have possibility to use them like talkie-walkie, in some nokia phones its already possible, or are ther any bluetooth program that can do that? i mean sending messages or talking or beeping another phone without using operator?

I don't think there is a point in using bluetooth for talking cuz there is a ~10m (~30ft) working distance for the bluetooth in phones. U can send messeges via bluetooth to other SE phones as notes.

great! i write large notes using myphoneexplorer and i could send them! bluetooth is limited by distance, so are there any other method using wireless to talk or send messges to other phones without using gsm?

maybe it could be possible if the blootooths were v2 so it would support 100m it would make sense to use phones as a walkie talkie.

Getjar.com has many apps like btooth chat. Both fone will need to sun the app. There is also MXIT used to chat, its the best chat app i've ever used and it costs less and can chat with users all over our planet. I dont think there is a way to send sms's or talk to other fones bypassing the operator.
