    Re: XS++ 3.1 Guide-Flashing, Customizing, Recovering

    thanks for this tutorial....does anyone know when the new XS++ is going to be released? or have any updated info on it? I really want to flash my W580i but I need a way to back up GDFS just in case I need to get it serviced by AT&T.

    Nothing for free,because K850 is DB3150 and for now there is no free tool for that platform- only way some pay service

    Hi, I have a W580i from Cingular and i used this tutorial to debrand my phone, the files I used were:

    W580_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED53.mbn
    W580_R8BE001_FS_AMERICA_1_RED53.fbn

    here is the log:

    It has been like that for about 20 minutes, should i continue to wait? or did I do something wrong and it won't work?

    It also might be worth noting that i used Gordons Gate USB Flash Driver.

    should I use setool or JDflash instead of XS++?

    the status on the bottom for almost 50 min now has been:
    Sending flashblock 1/460. Address=44140000 Size=00010000

    EDIT: I stopped the flashing, the phone works fine, but with Cingular firmware, it turns out that this method does not work for CID53, which i have, i'll look into JDFlasher

    Re: XS++ 3.1 Guide-Flashing, Customizing, Recovering

    yeah, in SE2ToolLite it told me that the files i were trying to use were CID53, idk how I got it mixed up with my phone's CID number. Thanks for the links, problem is I can't download from topsony yet (my old account got pruned so im a new user again :( ). I'll look for the files elsewhere, but can you post the file hashes if that's not against the rules? thanks for your help.

    EDIT: I got the files and flashed my phone (Hashes would be nice just to double check i got the same files). now im onto step 4, customize file system, my phone (W580i) is not listed in the drop down box, I also wouldnt know what region or CDA to use. What do I do with the HB1_06_Gen_CDA102568_106_R8A_GENERIC_AMERICA_1.zip that I downloaded?

    Unpack .rar archive in XS++ folder /own custpack/ and in XS++ in section customization select own custpack
