You should look into drm packager from sony ericsson. The rogers firmware should allow files that are in this format to be played as ring tone. Give it a shot, worth a try.

Yup. It works on my Rogers W810i. I've had no problems with the sound quality nor any issue with the length of the clip.

But again, this is just a workaround. To use an mp3 you'll have to debrand.
