Rogers W580i - cant use mp3 as ringtone!

you need to totally debrand, as in flash the main, the filesystem and a cust pack

THEN you can use the mp3's and ringtones. (also flash menu's with 5 minutes of work)
it is possible to do it for free using xs++ and FAR

or you can pay using wotanserver.. the choice is yours really...

i have try with at&t w580i, its true that full mp3 music won't work as ringtone, but once the song has been chop under, then i can use it as ringtone, this really suck :mad:

you can downloaf audacity just google it install the plugin and cut the sont to about 20 thirty seconds and put it on your phone/m2 card under ringtones then you should be a ble to set it

AT&T does the same thing on W580's firmware. I had to totally debrand it to gain the feature back.

Please Don't debrand the phone.

I found out that it was the custpack. I extracted it from someone's phone.
You change the custpack, don't forget to backup gdfs.
