i have a rogers w580i and i was unable to set full mp3's as ringtones.
debranding solved this problem.

Till don't understand why Rogers crappy apps are so suck and they would put them it. Perhaps they just try to grap every cents from it's subscribers.

all phone companies are like that. AT&T is crazy, too. Tell you this, who need warranty? Just debrand it and use what ever you want. I just unlock + debrand my w580i. Now it's my phone b-)

Did you unlocked your phone through Wotan, or you did it yourself? If it's DIY, was it complicated or easy as debranding it?

just debrand it. not that complicated if u follow the steps. :)

Extract customize.xml from the phone.
Find "mp3" then edit it (change false to true)

Restart the phone

Finally you can use mp3 as ringtones.
