    Thank You!

I will give this a try a little later when I can get back on the windows PC... rest of the family are hogging it lol.

Will update this post if I'm successful :)

    EDIT:

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I think you do this one the same as mkrest, so I put my MAIN (renamed to 1.mbn) and the ssw2rest.exe into C:\ and run this in cmd

    C:\ssw2rest.exe 1.mbn

all I get is a 'file io error'

I'm using XP Professional 32-bit so it should work :S

just drag and drop the mbn file over the ssw2rest.exe, the rest file will be created, don't rename the mbn file

i think you need to full flash your phone as there might be software issue with your current firmware or corrupt

I have tried dragging the mbn file onto ssw2rest.exe as well, cmd pops up very quickly and closes straight away. I cannot find a generated rest anywhere on the computer.

I think it pops up very briefly in cmd before it exits 'file io error' probably not compatible with my firmware?

dudE, try to find it on C:// ..,or in your defaullt cmd path, i.e C:\Documents and Settings\User>***
(after the pop up appears, the rest file goes to that path)in my case,,hehe;)

    Re: Patching CID53 (DB2020)&DB2010,2012

    Thank you,

all is sorted now, it would also help if i extracted the .mbn from the rar file LOL.. got my QApatch, rest file, executor.b (other stuff is already on the phone... now to try aand patch the phone some... wan't to change network you see and I'm not paying!

edt: can anybody help me here, I just realised I lost the unlock .vkp for my K770i... K770_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_VI_RED53.mbn

    I had it all ready but must have accidently deleted it :-{

I know there is an unlock patch for this firmware and it isn't in the downloads section :'(

I don't want to have to change my firmware because I had trouble getting the K770_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_VI_RED53 to flash. but I know this firmware has the most patches!
