Debranding w580i CID53 help? -- Being honest here!

First off, I know somewhere on this board is a very simple guide to debranding the SE [US]w580i CID53 but unfortunately, I dont have to the time to search these boards seeing how im working 12hr shifts and can barely stay away after work to find this guide...Ive tried a little here and a little there but have yet to locate a guide on debranding my [US-AT&T]SE w580i CID53.

I usually spend my time on the internet at forums, I know all about the search function. but this forums is pretty big. Im not asking anyone to debrand my phone. All I ask is for some help getting a guide to debranding my phone, All I really want to do is put in some custom flash themes really.

again, I dont really have time to hunt this guide down. in fact, I have to go take a shower and get ready for bed, my back is killing me! god, im getting old.

In short, Anyone know of a guide to debranding my w580i CID53 using jdflasher?

Replace K810 firmware(MAIN, FS and custom file) with your W580 firmware(according to your language) and skip step nr.16(light effects). Good luck !
EDIT: No, you don't have to unlock in order to debrand, in fact you can't unlock for free, yet :)

Im having a hard time finding out which files I need to download. Can you please list them for me?

yea ive looked all over youtube. most of the debranding tutorials for the w850i are not CID53 versions.

Ok I managed to get my phone "debranded" I think

Here are the 3 files I used.

MAIN---W580_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED53.mbn
FS---W580_R6BC002_FS_AMERICA_2_RED53.fbn
CUSTOM---W580i_CDA102774_39_R5A_Cell_One_USA.zip


I still have AT&T on my main screen but there a different icons. NAPSTER icon...things like that. Was I sopposed to use an ASIAN custom pack?



EDIT -- I managed to get flash menu on my phone and set them up. Thing is, its kind of choppy and navigating thru the menus is slow.

what software did u use ???

farmanager\jdflasher

Debranding your phone is flashing it with a generic (debranded) firmware files. Once you get those files, you should use jdflasher plugin for far manager (as it supports Cid53 flashing). :)

I've managed to have my w580i debranded using farmanager with jdflasher plugin.

In far manager it does not show all folders the "b" ones only "ofs" etc...

Now, is there any free way of removing the sim lock?

NO - for now there isn't free unlock tool for CID53

ya, tat y u need to make some research 1st b4 debranding,,

you can call att at there customer service and ask to unlock your phone.if they ask you are you going to stay with att say yes and you have to had been with them for 90 day thats how i nlocked my W580i too bad i cant debrand it ( CID 53 )

where did you find the FS---W580_R6BC002_FS_AMERICA_2_RED53.fbn

ok... i just got a new CID53 W580 with att and when i try to debrand it using FAR with JDFlasher plugin, i get an error and i cant open ofs or oflash. ive debranded an att w580 CID53 before but why doesnt it work now and why do i get an error???

re-extract far+jdflasher from zip file and try again
