    Yup - I have w580i (a debranded at&t version) and a Sandisk 8gb M2 card - they work perfectly. The card has 1.5gb of free space left though.
    Did sony tell you that it only supports 4gb or did you find it on their website?

    The SE site (see compatability chart above) only says W580i supports 4GB. Glad to know it supports more though! How is your file access time with the 8GB stick? Is it still pretty quick?

    Unfortunately I can't compare to 2 or 4gb version .. .but speed with 8gb seems acceptable to me.

    The compatibility charts posted at SE site generally refer to the largest card they confirmed as working at the time of the chart's publishing ... but seems not to be a limitation of the OS or the phone's hardware ... does annoy me though ...they should list it up to the max supported size! Or maybe they just don't know for sure until new cards are rolled out.
