Cracked key on my new W580

the "5" key has cracked just 1 week after purchase!
I've heard many say "2", "4" and "5" are the most common ones to crack!
    Anyone have the same problem?

Im not sure where it was posted but SE will fix the cracked keys problem under warranty, but it only affects the first 2 or 3 batches after this the problem was rectified.

You're right! Mine was the first batch to the market, and all my other friends who bought recently do not have this problem.
It IS covered under warrenty; though, I just don't figure how SE can let this kind of defects be on the market? Shouldn't they be tested thoroughly before going to the market?!!

Money makes the world go round...it's cheaper to throw a defective product on the market than checking it 100%. Have a look at Eldar's article that was posted by hellvy.
