Basically this is why I am considering debranding and maybe unlocking in the process if its not too risky.

1) Be able to customize all the shortcut buttons/keys
2) Remove AT&T logo, and locked areas

However, if it will prevent these, then please appoint me to the right direction.

1) If I will lose my Messengers (Yahoo, aim, msn, etc...)
2) Normal txt msg service
3) Basic/main default icons or anything important!

Lastly: If the criteria are meet, which firmware in consideration for US use and latest. As a bonus, have Chinese language display as well for my mp3s :)

Other then that, I really would love to debrand and unlock my W580i (white) phone from AT&T.

Another question for those that have this phone with AT&T.
If you use any of the messengers included. Does it count as a text message or data meaning you will need a data plan or it will be charged as texT? confused?

I have 200 txt plan and use msn but dunno if its using that or extra for every message.
