    Question A Bluetooth Story

    Hi all, This happened to me yesterday. I kept my bluetooth switched on while having lunch at a hotel. We were two and some other girls were present in the same hotel, after a moment i received a .sis file from an unknown blue tooth device, when i tried to search that device it was not found. Now my point is how can we detect a bluetooth device if the person has hidden his phone in the blue tooth option, but kept the blooth device on. Or else can we get the persons number or something:D . And actually the .sis file didn't effect my mob, cuz it has Java OS:D .Hope to hear from You all.

    Hey,
    Discovering the hidden bluetooth devices is not possible and getting the number for them is out of question. i think i know the reason why you want to know how to find out number from a bluetooth devices. u don have to worry about the sis files. they or any file don get into the phone with out your permission. if you click NO on the confirmation the file is not downloaded at all.. So don worry relax till new technologies come in for detecting the hidden bluetooth devices..

    Regards;
    Sam..

    A sis file is not necessarily a virus guys. But being sent through a bluetooth device well you should take it with caution. Another thing .sis files are only for phones with Symbian OS such as Nokia 6600, 6680, N70 etc.. SE P900i, P910i, P990i, etc... Nothing to worry and yes yah can cancel i in case of doubts specially if yah don't know the user...

    i've tried to use BT Info, BT Browser and FTP BT and none of them works...i tried to make this work with a friend of mine...his bluetooth was on and with these programs i can only search other near bluetooth devices, but i can't actually access files or any other stuff.

    i've seen a video in youtube ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDSXijSx6Tc )
    that shows how this works, and believe it...it's amazing...i just don't know which app to use. The video's good...check it out whenever you can.
