brown or red firmware

hey mine was supposed to be a red one but when i gave the phoneto SC for flashing bcoz of WSOD the guy made it Brown


plz help me, how to know whether the flash files are for red or brown phones

The firmware available on Topsony for W550 is RED. You can convert your brown phone to red.

And once again: Do NOT flash W550i with XS++, it's not supported!

Why not? If I'm not misstaken, it's CID36 or CID49, both are supported by latest version! (it's XS++_1.6.8 which supports even CID51 and CID52).

you need to search the forum for "how to" turn brown to red, and only after that do the firmware upgrade.
I did it with CID36 phone and I'm sure by now it can be done with CID49 too.

I AM sure about that. XS++ supports CID 36,49,51 and 52 but it's NOT working with W550i. I wouldn't post such information if I wasn't sure about it.
