Mobile unlocking for beginner

Hi Guys,

My 1st post here so i would say thanks in advance for whatever i am going to ask.

I need to get into mobile unlocking and would like to know the basic steps.

How do i start? What tools do i require? Data cables if there are any special ones.

I have gone through the forum and found many useful links but somebody may have direct link to guide for beginners.
