Help needed on debranding+changing language K810i CID53

Hi everyone :)
I have been googling around trying to figure out a way to do the following;

1. Unlock my phone
2. Debrand (want to remove the Movistar-crap stuff)
3. Change language pack (bought in Spain, but need Norwegian language)

I am a bit confused from all the information that is floating around:confused:, but I believe I will need to use JDFlasher+Far Manager to flash/patch my CID53-phone? Also, will the correct order of things first to flash it with generic main, custom pack, and then finally try an unlock-procedure (make a -.vkp patch created with Simox's SIM-lock patch generator)?

.........which of these files (or others) do I have to use to debrand and change language on my K810????

Well, I have read it and think I understand.........

At the moment my K810-firmware is R8BF003, but when I flash it I can instead use R8BA024 firmware files?

I have found these files in the downloading area which I suppose will work together:

K810_R8BA024_FS_EUROPE_4_RED53.rar
HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_13_R8A_GENERIC_EUROPE_4.zip

If I follow the procedure in Flash K800 CID53 with K810 software CID53 (for begginers) - Top Sony Forums, but using the three files above, I should end up having a debranded phone with R8BA024-firmware and Norwegian language. Am I correct?

I imagine I will have to unlock the phone after I have completed the above, right?

the above files are perfect, and your require language package is included. if you use the sim card of the same/branded provider, then there is no need to unlock it

Well, I have done it.......... DEAD PHONE:eek:

Here's what happened;
First, I wanted to try if I could remove the SIM-lock by applying a patch generated with SIMLockPatchGen (by Simox). I followed this guide Any/ALL CID Patching Tutorial/Guide DB2020 | SE Flashing. I used the bypass-package R8BF003_CXC1250811_GENERIC_SM for the executor.b file (because my firmware is K810 R8BF003), and firmware K810_R8BF003_MAIN_GENERIC_SM_RED53.mbn to create the Rest-file and Quick access-file. Finally I applied the Remove_SIMlock-patch as described in Part4, and it worked!! -the Simlock was removed:D

I thought this was easy, so I figured I would try to debrand my phone while I was at it (but keep the SIMLock removed). The firmware, FS and custompack that I planned to use were; K810_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_SM_RED53.rar

HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_13_R8A_GENERIC_EUROPE_4.zip

Now, my problem is that there are no Bypass-Package for the R8BA024-firmware so I tried to follow the steps in the guide dealing with the issue of non-available BypassPackage ("Note; if ByPass Package is not....."). What I did was that I repeated Part1 and Part2 in order to get a new executor in the in the games folder of my phone. I copied the three files to tpa\prest\custom\ and exited, disconnected the phone, re-inserted battery, ran the ececutor in games and the phone turned of as i were supposed to. Then I wanted to flash with the R8BA024 firmware. However, when I try to enter bflash I get this error;


I then try to disconnect the phone, re-insert battery and power it on. No sign of life.....::(

Any suggestions to what can be done to wake up the phone???:confused:

Curious thing happened ....... I hooked up the phone on my friends laptop and I could start FAR without any problem!
Now I have flashed from RB8F003 to R8BA024 and it works like a charm:D

I need to find out how to remove the SIM-lock again. I patched it successfully while having the RB8F003 firmware, but seem to have lost the SIM-lock patch after flashing to R8BA024.
Do I need to apply this patch again, or?? Only problem is that there is no BypassPackage available for R8BA024 firmware, so what can I do?

Suggestions anyone?

Nevermind, fixed it!

The error message I got while connecting to FAR/JDflasher was beacause the DCU-60 cable was bad. Had intermittent contact that caused some write error. Have now changed to a new cable:)

To remove the SIM-Lock I followed the steps in Any/ALL CID Patching Tutorial/Guide DB2020 | SE Flashing under "Note; if ByPass Package is not....." for firmwares that do not have Bypass packages:

Starting point: I have (and want to keep) R8BA024 firmware on my CID53 K810. Problem: SIMlock Bypass-package only exist for for R8BF003 and NOT for my R8BA024. I need to get around this problem so I do the following;

1. Flash with R8B003 main+FS
2. Upload executor.b, executor.jar and customize_upgrade.xml (made for R8B003) to FS
3. Run executor in phone.
4. Now flash with R8BA024 main firmware (using qa2020.xml)
5. Flash with Quick_access.vkp (made for R8BA024). Disconnect
6. Now flash with R8BA024 FS (using db2020 script and oflash). Disconnect
7. Upload the Custompack for R8BA024 (using db2020 and OFS). Disconnect
8. The phone is now ready to be flashed with the patch Remove_SIM_lock_K810_R8BA024_GENERIC.vkp (which I made by dragging the R8BA024 main onto the SIMLockPatchGen.exe file)
9. The SIM-lock is now removed!

I was a complete noob when I first started this thread, and I have made quite a few trials&errors using FAR_FDflasher. I thought I had really screwed things up when my phone turned dead, but luckily that was just the DCU-60 cable being faulty! Now I feel a bit more comfortable with the whole flashing/patching business, thanks to all these wonderful tutorials on the net, as well as good advice (riders4sia).

i really need your help mandrake..
i want to patch ny phone but is CID53 and MAIN CHINA. i am having problems downloading the CHINA MAIN but is it possible for me to use GENERIC MAIN with the same FS?(its APAC)
or do i have to change that to?and if so to which FS?i am only interested in English language so which is best???

I assume you also have a K810, and that your firmware is R8BF003, or? If your only prerequisite is that your phone should have english language you can use the FS and custpack below (contains english language).
