Help k800i

Hello, i have the SE K800i and ive been trying to upload layout.xml to my phone using far manager, but everytime i upload it to the phone nothing changes, i have the CID53 i dunno if thats a problem but i cudnt flash my phone i just assumed if i uploaded the layout.xml it would change the layout. or do i need to do other fiddly thinsg to it lol.

Ye but i cant find the files i need and i dont wanna fuck my phone up by moving it to a k810, can u get me the download links if i give u the detials?

ye i no theres lots off stuff i just dunno what to download i dunno what files will work on my phone and not. i dont wanna break my phone lol

The problem is that we don't know what you want to do with your phone - the information you posted suggests that it's a UK Vodafone handset - so do you want to keep the Voda branding, go to a UK generic firmware or something else.

In any case, I would start by getting the files you need to restore the current configuration, just in case you ever need to get it back:

K800_R8BF003_MAIN_VODAFONE_WI_RED53 <-- Main firmware
K800_R8BF003_FS_VFE_LIVE_2_RED53 <-- File system
K800i_CDA102511_130_R1A_Vodafone_United_Kingdom <-- Custom pack

Assuming you want to reflash the phone as a UK generic K810i, use the following files:

K810_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_SM_RED53 <-- Main Firmware
K810_R8BA024_FS_EUROPE_2_RED53 <-- File system
K810i_CDA102779_33_R4A_Customized_United_Kingdom <-- Custom pack

You should also read the posts in the forum about the lighteffects, since otherwise some of the keyboard LEDs will only come on when you activate the camera.

I just tryed flashing it with the k810i but i got the flashing white screen, im re-flashing it now back to the k800. Just a question what is the custpack all about what does it do and cud i use a differnt custpack? thanks for your help so far :P

the reason you got white screen flashing is that your phone is among the latest. the new k800 is not compatible with k810 firmware, hence flashing white screen. about the custpack, it is the finalization pack for the phone, if you want to use another custpack, then you need to change the FS that match the custpack

i was just wondering how come my k800 feels so slow, since ive had it its always been slow is there anyway to speed it up a bit?
