Which firmware do I use?

Let me start by saying I apologize if this is a very dumb question. I have looked through the tutorials and guides and wasn't able to find anything that would tell me which firmware I need to upgrade my phone.

I want to upgrade to the newest firmware. The region I'd like for firmware is America, not Hong Kong.

If there is already a tutorial for this, please send me in that direction, I'd really appreciate it.

You can upgrade using Sony Ericsson Update Service.

The latest firmware for your phone is R4EK001_RED49, but it's only for "America2" language, which means: US English - Brazilian Portuguese - Latin American Spanish. I suggest you to use R4EA031_RED49 firmware. It's a stable firmware, it has "America 1" language also(US English - Canadian French - Latin American Spanish) and a lot of patches. I used the Sony Ericsson Update Service and that fixed the issue I was having (couldn't record sounds.)
