Need Help debranding my K770i CID53

Hi there im not sure if im in the correct topic but i really need help, I am trying to debrand my Sony Ericsson K770i as it is branded with Orange and i dont like the menu icons ect.. i was wondering if you guys will help me get the files to a Original sony ericson k770i phone so i can debrand my k770i. and also i no that XS++ cant do anything with CID 53 so what software should i use?

Look in download section and find in software program "babeck" and chack that FS file - it seems to be corrupted (if it is find another S_E_Europe)

Hi me again. Sorry all im so new to all this flashing stuff. Please help could some one explain what the files do on the phone - main - custom pack - and the other one. just want a nice looking menu. Life was easy on my nokia 6230i just created new png's then the menu was customised.

Yipee the rubish 3 menu is gone . Thanks so much all of you. I have successfully flashed my phone with Far and Kd worked a treat. Also know now how to add clipart to photodj yey. But what sizes are the pics?. The only prob is not sure my phone is now totaly compatible with Three. For instance skype it works but it doesnt seem to be able to stay online. Have to see if I can still connect to 3G network yet. Oh and even thou its now debranded I put a vodafone sim in and it did not work. thanks all. Love new flash menus thou. Also when using video player now I can fast forward properly without it jumping to the next vid. its all good

if you use a generic main, then you only need to flash the FS and Custpack only. you can't just flash different custpack coz you will end up having configuration error

Also I have been snooping around in the Customize.xml from the custpack. Just incase I reflash and I get back that horrid 3 menu, will it effect the operation of the phone if I change a few things in this XML document?.

Just like to give a liittle back for all the help you guys gave me.

Ive cracked it managed to put 3 brand back on phone hopefully exactly as I got it from 3. To make the phone able to use flash menus I edited the customise.xml. what you do is firstly rename the theme you want as default to the name of the theme in the custompack. so mine was "Citybeatblue.thm to Theme_3 Global_11659.1.thm" then put the file into the customisation directory. Copy the fash menu into the directory as well will be the SWf file. Open the custom XML with notepad or dreamweaver. Add this line "<copy source="/tpa/preset/custom/A2.swf" dest="/tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash/Aperture_desktop.swf">
</copy>" to line 71 of the text. where A".swf is, is what your menu is called. this simply copies it. Then on line 296 "<enable-flash-desktop>true</enable-flash-desktop>" make sure this is true. Save the xml. Flash the phone MAIN,FS,CUSTOMPACK As in the tutorials of this forum. When u switch your phone on you should now have the theme you want as default with flash menus. To change the flash menu just copy the SWF into the flash desktop directory using far + KD flasher. put the theme on ya phone normaly. follow this tutorial how to make the theme load menu. Quantifly Sony Ericsson K770i Flash Menu hope this helps. will inprove when get some time. but this worked for me. thanks all

hate to ressurect this thread but i need to get a custom flash menu working on a virgin mobile k770i. I know its got something to do with the customize.xml. I just hate that i cant read off the filesystem only write.

i guess there is no way to read the filesystem

i did it guys! i got flash menus working on my phone without debranding it! i placed this customize_upgrade.xml file with code activating flash menus on it where the customize.xml file is kept in the filesystem (using far manager and jdflasher plugin and placing the file in the tpa/preset/custom directory ). The
possibilities are endless with the customize_upgrade.xml method. After getting flash menus working i debranded my phone by using a customize_upgrade.xml file to change the CDA number to an unbranded one, i then proceeded by using the sony erricson update tool and it flashed the phone to that unbranded firmware for me! Don't think it unlocked it though i still need help with that.
I also cant see whats on the damn phone either. I want to modify other things in the filesystem but i cant see them :(

I just used JDFlasher_test6 and anyCID to upgrade my firmware on K770i (3 network) to R8BE001. I am still trying to get bflash to work so that I can do the full job.

is in europe 4 also the dutch language included? I´m from holland, so I want the dutch language. (sorry for the bad english)
