when I try to turn on my w850 there is a blinking white screen,
so I tried to flash the erom with xs++
But it doesn't go further that that line
"Sending db2020_cid01_prodid_p3j.bin..."
can someone help please?

try to unplug ur phone....then remove ur battery and again insert and try u can,,,
The blinking white screen is usually a sign of corrupted MAIN firmware. So reflash the MAIN firmware. If it doesn't helps, reflash the phone completely(MAIN, FS and custom pack).Quote:

the white blinking screen is usually due to wrong firmware. do a FULL flash with the CORRECT firmware. check that your using the right CID as your phone and check that you have the right firmware meant for yor phone.

I'll try to flash the main firmware.
In this case the blinking screen is not due to a wrong firmware because I've never flashed it before... A morning, when I tried to turn the phone on it suddenly started to blink. I'm not sure but, the day before I turned it off and when I plugged it in order to recharge the battery, I think there was an unusual wiht blink.
anyway, I'll try to flash the main firmware.
Hi, I would like to flash the firmware but I'm not sure which file I should use (I'm in France)

Firstly you must know which CID do you got. You can know it by plugin your phone in flashers like JDFlasher, XS++, SETool2Lite. Then you must flash YOUR CID firmware (main) and it file system (FS). FS, in which there present word "Europe", must also contain French language.
when I connect my phone with xs++ it says :
Connected phone w850 (DB2020 CID 52)
OTP CID: 51
EROM CID: 52
so, is my CID 52 or 51?
Your CID is 52.

I tried to flash the main and FS( W850_R1KG001_MAIN_GENERIC_CY_RED52.mbn and W850_R1KG001_FS_EUROPE_2_RED52.fbn) but with xs++ it doesn't go further than the first step :

(I tried to wait about 20 minutes)
so I tried with SE Tool 2 Lite, it seems to flash without problems but when I turn my phone on it's still blinking... and when I connect it with XS++ the firmware version line still says R1JE001.
I tried to flash the main with SE tool using the same firmware that's in my phone from the beginning (W850_R1EJ001_MAIN_VODAFONE_CY_RED52.mbn)
but when I turn the phone on the white blinking screen is still there.
is there something else I can try?

Why XS log shows you old Firmware? Because you didn't customized it for new one. Just try to flash with JDFlasher.
show us the log please...
i reckon its because you only installed, main and FS. you need to download the cust file aswell.
i think (W850_R1JE001_MAIN_GENERTIC_RED52) IS THE BEST ONE, CUZ THAT ONE IS THE ORGINAL ONE CAN BE FITS ANY
hey! i had the same problem. infact, it seems there are alot of people with this problem so it seems like it is a batch or desing fault with the w850i. i have tried to make a complaint with sony ericsson already...and what do you expect....no response.Quote:

but try flashing your phone from a clean scratch. that would be restoring your GDFS, new erom, main and fs file also. if that runs smoothly and you encounter no errors but you still get the white screen, it probably means you need to replace the top key pad. this i learnt from my friend "philsfog"...his the bomb.
