Unlocking W380i CID53?

Hi all,

Need help with unlocking Sony Ericsson W380i CID53.

Can i do it with generating the code by IMEI or do i need to entirely re-flash the phone?
The phone is not in my posesion , so i need some sort of remote unlocking option.

i appreciate any advice or suggestions.

I dont think you can do anythyng with CID53 at home! No way!:confused:

for now you can't do much with CID 53, especially unlocking, and there is no way to unlock your phone by IMEI and there is no way to unlock it remotely, CID 53 is the latest security level used by SE and it is not cracked yet. you could go to a service centerprobably they could unlock it for you but it will cost a lot of money. be patient for now.

If you have access to setool3 box you will unlock this phone without any problems. You must have a simcard from operator who locked your phone :)

hm, have no access to setool box :P

and already looked at davincies..... but the lowest amount of credits you can purchase is 100eur....

Connect it to xs++ 3.1 or setool lite and copy your phones log here without IMEI number.

W380 iS pnx5230 CID53 Setool2lite or xs++ won't recognize or give any log....
Only with FAR with CID53 support you can manage this phone....
And as we all know FAR doen's show LOGS
AND FOR LAST :) ALL W380 ARE CID53 AND PNX5230 ;)

i have setool but don't know how to unlock this phone?

U cantr unlock cid 53 through free patch.

A paid service like D-Unlocker which top sony are resllers is your only option 20 Euros.

guys i'm a newbie here and have only a basic idea of flashing
as "khaba" posted earlier that all w380i owners will have to wait patiently, can u plz give me an idea about how much time it'll take until someone posts the method?

XS++ which is the latest version is in trial stage with beta users using Linux. This we hope will be able to access the new security software being CID53

As far as we know and hope the new version will access A1, A2, DB 3150 and Cid53 as well as the normal ones it can communicate with now.

Patience or as i posted unlock now for 20 euros.

Hi All,

Am very new to this, I want to unlock W380i I have no idea what CID53 means. I went to an unlock website who gave me setools lite and a link to a firmware update. The link did not included firmware for a phone from Rep. Of Ireland. The tutorials I downloaded are very confusing. What do I need to do???

CID are the levels of security Sony Ericsson gives there phones to access them and modify them.

You have a W380 CID 53. You can't unlock for free (unless you have SETool box).

For flashing, you can use Far Manager + JD Flasher.
For unlocking, paid services like D-Unlocker.
