Is flashing the same thing as unlocking? And if not, how can you unlock a K800i CID 53 using JDFlasher / FAR Manager?
I seem to have successfully managed to flash three separate things (for want of a better word - what are these 'things' called anyway...?):
1. K800_R8BF003_FS_EUROPE_5_RED53.fbn
2. K800_R8BF003_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED53.mbn
3. and a custom pack consisting of:

...and the phone APPEARS to have now been debranded. But it's still locked. And pressing the joy stick produces the error "Errors occur in the menu.ml file. This may render the menu unusable"
So how can I unlock the phone and fix the menu.ml error?
Any ideas anyone?
Errors occur in the menu.ml file is becuse u havent flashed matching main and fs files to it and i dont think u can free unlocking on cid 53 phone but wait for other answer 1st

I thought the R8BF003 bit on both files meant that they DID match. How do I know whether the files match or not (and more to the point, how can I find matching files in the first place)

try to flash a gerninc custom pack to it

..but I'm a total beginner at this and only found this by trial and error. Can you, perhaps, direct me to a generic custom pack for my phone? At least that way I know I've got the right files to start with.

I have flashed a few K800i phones with K810i R8BF003 software. One was CID52 and 2 others were CID53. One of the CID53 phones flashed white screen after debranding. It was a new phone, the others were old. I have found other websites that say newer K800i phones have a newer LCD which does not work with K810i firmware. Check to see if your phone is relatively new (less than a year). If it is flashing white then you cannot use K810i software on it. You can recover your phone by flashing it back to the K800i software. This is what I had to do with that new K800i.Quote:

what do you mean can't see TrackID? it is in the entertainment menu. what is the files you are using, Main, fs and where do you get?

you don't need to post the same in different thread, just one post is enough. you have to use far+jdflasherCID53 latest to flash your phone.
