Que tal mis amigos, vengo dando vueltas con mi x10i 2.1 update baseband 2.1.55 y lo quiero actualizar a una buena rom, mas eficiente con bravia engine, overclock, fps y todas esas cosas. Pero recurro a ustedes porque saben mas que yo sobre el tema jaja

Tomo como base para hacer esto el siguiente tuto:
To stop all those questions about how to install one of the pre rooted 2.3.3 ROMs properly I decided to make this HOW-TO to keep the threads clear.

INGREDIENTS:
All you need is:

  • 1 Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 device
  • 1 Computer


PREPERATIONS:

At the moment, there is NO method to root your X10 after you have installed 2.3.3. So if you installed 2.3.3 via SEUS, PCC oder Flashtool the first step you have to do is to get a rooted stock 2.1 ROM on your device. To avoid errors I would recommend this step to everyone

INSTALL 2.1, root it and install xRecovery:
  1. Get the newest Flashtool http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ight=flashtool
  2. Get one of the stock 2.1 ROMS (same thread as flashtool)
  3. Extract the ROM-file to your Flashtool/firmware folder
  4. Start flashtool
  5. Click on "Flash" and select the firmware you just downloaded
  6. Click OK
  7. Turn off your device
  8. Connect cable to PC NOT TO YOUR X10
  9. Press Back-Button on your X10 and connect cable
  10. Wait flashtool to finish
  11. After that, turn on phone and activate "Unknown sources" and "USB-Debugging" under Application-Settings
  12. Hit "Root" in flashtool
  13. Wait for flashtool to finish and X10 to reboot
  14. After reboot hit "Ask root permissions" in flashtool and select allow on you X10 (a popup will appear)
  15. Hit "xrecovery" in flashtool


GETTING ROOTED 2.3.3 ON YOUR DEVICE:
First of all, you have to download the ROM you wish to install. This step should be clear, but you never know . Every of those ROMs comes in 2 parts. 1 update.zip and 1 kernel+baseband file for flashtool.

  1. Copy the update.zip (name can be different!!) to your X10s SDcard
  2. Reboot X10 into xRecovery (Keep hitting Back-button while X10 restarts)
  3. Select "Factory Reset"
  4. Select "Wipe Cache Partition"
  5. Select "Advanced options" -> "Wipe Dalvik Cache"
  6. Select "Install custom zip" and select the zipfile you copied to your SDCard
  7. Wait for xRecovery to finish
  8. After that, DONT REBOOT OR DO ANYTHING, JUST REMOVE ANY CONNECTED CABLE AND REMOVE BATTERY TO TURN OF PHONE
  9. EXTRACT the kernel+baseband-File into flashtools firmware folder
  10. Hit "Flash" in flashtool and select the copied kernel+baseband
  11. Now insert battery again (make sure no cable is connected. Otherwise the phone will start into charging mode and you have to start again)
  12. Press Back-button and connect cable
  13. Wait for flashtool to finish
  14. Start X10 and enjoy your rooted 2.3.3!

1. Este metodo funciona o esta viejo? Puedo tener complicaciones serias si algo falla?
2. Que rom me recomiendan para ponerle a mi querido x10 y donde puedo descargarla (segun tengo entendido una muy recomendada es la rom de wolf)?

Ya probe buscando en el foro la info pero no encuentro algo concreto sobre esto, les agredeceria mucho la ayuda
