Here is an example: suppose you have a K800 phone with R1ED001 version(K800_R1ED001_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52.mbn). But you can use version R8BA024(K800_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52.mbn) instead of R1ED001. So if you have a K800 phone then the MAIN firmware MUST BE a K800 MAIN, but the version may change. The patch version must be the same version as the MAIN what you added to SETool2 Lite. So if you add the K800_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52.mbn to SETool2 Lite, then you need to make a patch from it. It is clear now? :)

No, no, no... You need to drop(Windows drag and drop operation) the mbn file to qamaker.exe, and a couple of seconds you get the quick access_XXX patch.

SImox, first all thanks for your kind help.


yes I did manage to create the quick_access_xxx file. I followed the steps,
and I got the " dialog pop-up, click "Yes" to remove the patch",
but afterwords I got a popup message saying patch is is different and whether i want to carry on.
I tried pressing yes.. and then it finished the process.

then i moved to step3, which was to write the script .
i generate the remove.. vkp file and follwed the step...
but this step failed.

i think this was because step procedure did not finis as explained in this thread.
please elp.

Yes, this last post cleared things a lot, I am sure many guys didnt know this, specially that the patch must be created off the MAIN file version which will be used for the operation.

People special care with this, have this clear !!! the patch must be from the version you will USE for the OPERATION on setool, and *NOT* from the version you have in the phone !

If unsure, Use always same MAIN file version than the version your phone is running.
