Just start up FAR manager, run jdflasher, select "oflash" and copy the main and fs files to the phone, then reconnect, select "ofs" and copy the contents of the custpack to the filesystem so that everything ends up in /tpa/preset/custom.
    Brilliant trimesh,
this is exactly what I needed and yes you are right, this phone has been badly treated even before my novice hands got hold of it. Thank you very very much for your help, much appreciated!!!

Glad to hear it's all working - and I remember when I first started looking at all this stuff, and my immediate reaction was "what does all this mean?" Red phones, brown phones, CIDs, CDAs.

Since you are already on CID53 (don't do this with a phone with a lower CID, since it will upgrade it to CID53, and that has more security), it's worth connecting to SEUS and checking to see if there is any newer software.

If it gives you the option to upgrade or reinstall, then it means that your phone has a plausible configuration - if it just says "you already have the latest firmware" without the "reinstall" option then there is something inconsistent in your phone config.

Yes, I know what you mean, this debranding etc... certainly boggles the brain.

Well, I have been on SEUS and it gave me the option to reinstall as I already have the latest firmware, just as you predicted. I guess means that all is as it should be. :D:D:D:D

Having done this I went on and customised the icons and loaded a different cam. driver. Wow, this is turning out to be quite a satisfiying bit of entertainment! :)

Now all I need to know is how to alter the media player etc... I guess this will follow sometime.

So, thanks trimesh and everyone who's input was recieved gladly - cheers and have a nice day...!:)
