I also need to point out 2 more things :
-When I try using the official sony ericsson update service, when I plug my phone to the usb , hloding c, the entire computer freezes and I have to reset .
-The same happens when I use xs++. The computer freezes or doesn't find my phone.
What could be the problem?

try on another computer, your computer OS might be corrupt
