You Cant Convert K790 To K810 Or Anything Else.

You Cant Even Do That. Actually It Was A Rumor After K818 Released But Doing So Will Make Your GDFS Currupt And You Wont Get Signals Due To Band Differences. If You Want To Give It A Try, Make Sure You Have Your GDFS Backed Up Before You Start.

Yes K818 is not compatible with EDGE which would explain not getting signals.
My other question, What K790 firmware is the most customizable and has the most patches made for it?
And K790 is cid51 right? should i upgrade to cid52? how would i do that?

Dont Use SEUS. It Will Update To CID53 Which Is A Brick(Uncustomizable). Use XS++, When You'll Connect You Get Option To Update. And R8BF003 (Also Latest) Has The Highest Records For Patches. you can update k790 to cid52 by xs++3.2.
k790 can't be flashed to k800/k810/k818.Hardware are different.
Someone had tried to bsckup gdfs. And flash k790 to k818,then restore the gdfs,and they succeed. But someone failed.

hi guys i need some help. if i want to upgrade my main software will i need to flash the fs as well or can i just flash the latest main?

FS and Main have to match I think so im pretty sure if you change one you have to change the other. Someone correct me if im wrong tho

There Versions Have To Match Like R8BF003 Goes With R8BF003 But You Can Use MAIN Of Another Phone And FS Of Another Phone But Its Useless In Your Case.
[Confused...] Let Me Explain.
You Wanna Get TrackID And Photofix. Photofix Is A Function Of MAIN While TrackID A Function Of FS But If You Use K810 Main In K790, You Wont Get Signals:(. And If You Use FS And Not Main, You Still Wont Get TrackID. (Even I Dont Know Why???:D)
