Data erased by flashing firm and file?

Will I lose everything I have saved, such as contacts list, games I installed and their savegames, my highscores, the appointments I have on my calendar... will they all be gone after I flash the firmware and the filesystem? :eek:

Please please tell me... It´s something I never read about in any forum, possibly because it´s a dumb question, I dunno, but I need to be sure about the effects flashing the firm and file may cause. :confused:

By flashing Main + FS you will lose all.

"ngen" (thanks man!) said that if I use MyPhoneExplorer - which I already use - and backup my files - done - I would be able to have everything as it once was; or else it would be "gone in 60 seconds" (quote).

But I want new icons, new menus and new everything else. Except for the files I already have, the appointments, birthdays dates, the savegames, contacts and this kind of "my personal stuff" I really don´t want to jeopardize.

Can I have the best of both worlds?

If you flash the FS then everything will be erased, if you flash only the main then nothing will be erased.
yes, if you use MyPhone Explore the you can make a backup and restore it to the phone after flashing.

So, what is the meaning of flashing the FS?
If I only flash the main, will I still be able to access everything inside my phone using FAR? Eg. deleting the progs I don´t want (like those photoediting that actually sux...)?

Flashing the FS does actually what to my possibilities of editing my cell phone menus and everything?:confused:

Thank you for your help, as I said, I´m a newba *gasp* (this name feels bad since the very first CS) at this "memory flashing" thing, and I think I better know what-does-what than blaming someone for a dying phone because I was unable to flash the right way. :D

yeah you'll loose everything, i suggest that you transfer everything you can to your memory stick.

Paolot: 1st of all, I already know I will lose everything after flashing FS+Main. I want to know what can I do if I only flash Main, for example if I can delete those unwanted progs. :confused:

2nd: I would love to save everything to a memory stick, but as a fact K310i's don´t have memory sticks. :rolleyes: But ok, I can save them with MyPhoneExplorer. :)

The question remains: only flashing Main, what do I get?

I don't think MyPhoneExplorer can take backup of certain FS files such as your games and highscores, hoewever, it's not that bad to just start over again?

It´s because I´ve payed for a few games, and even for a present I was about to give to my girlfriend. :D Problem is, it´s on MY phone and I can´t take it from there. :o It s@*%&.

I would like to know how could I get them from my phone. Also, the highscores were, ahm, a subject of a little dispute amongst my friends and I - hehe nothing a little free time before work -. Anyway, it´s kinda nice not to lose everything I payed and played against my friends. :)
