okay, so ill be more detailed on this one. Sorry for my gram error if theres any
So heres the thing, i bought an m600i on ebay. I did a lot of researching before i hit that "buy it now" button. Got it cheap anyways.
When its already on my hands, i bought several things like extra stylus, screen protector, hign capacity memory card and stuff. The battery is fine. It can last for 3 days.
My problem is, the software is actually m608c which is the china version of the phone. Aesthetically, theyre the same but the difference is, m608 doesnt have any 3G, its only 2.5G meaning i can browse the internet high speed.
I did a lot of researching regarding this. On how to get a firmware for m600i. Ive also read a lot of threads telling that that's not possible since theyve got diferent boards or some sort of hardware thingie.
But what im concern about is, when i plug it using the software xs++, it still detects it as an m600 (not m608c), and when i check the battery terminal, the imei there matches the one on the hone status / service menu.
Now im thinking that MAYBE the last user did SEUS and SEUS mistakenly detected the phone as an m608c? if its an m608c, the housing and the sticket with the imei should say that its an m608c.
i also understand that these phones (p990i and such) is EOL meaning sony ericsson wont support or upgrade the firmware anymore. Another thing is, the SEUS software doesnt have any firmware recovery function unlike before.
Any advice? I dont want to go to the service center. The last time i had my w810i repaired there, they cant do anything.
