Will there ever be a free unlock for this phone as i went to shop and they wanted £40 told them to go where sun don't shine as seems little high to get unlocked to any network

It's always like this for new phones, takes time to unlock them by patch. Only option and the cheapest option is by daviniciteam, buy credits for about 20£ and get DB3150 phones unlock PERMANENT.

If you call your network provider and ask them nicely, in most cases they will provide you with an unlock code within 7 days. Some networks charge a small amount for this (alot less than Davinci etc tho) but most do it for free as long as you have topped up recently.
