Smile k800i does not go into flash mode

    Hi,
I got a brandnew K800i vodafone pay as you go phone. I am trying to debrand this phone.
I have followed the instructions and downloaded all the required files (XS , flash driver and main , FS files).

Then, I followed the next set of instructions i.e. connecting to the pc via USB cable.
    1) removed the battery, then place it back again
    2) pressed C and hold it while I connect to the PC.

PC does not detect any new hardware. I tried in 3 different computers, and the outcome is same.

can somebody please help me .
    thanks in advance
    sl

    hi,
    thanks for replies,
But my problem is for some reason my PC does not detect the k800i.
i will explain what i am doing.
    turn off the phone.
    remove the battery.
    place the battery again.
press C button and while holding I plug the USB cable to the PC.

PC (winXP) does not detect any new hardware to install the driver. I searched from device manager for new hardware without any luck.

However, my PC detect the phone in normal mode.

How can I confirm whether the phone is turning on the flash mode.
    thanks
    sl

Sometime You forget very minute things and try to solve problems with all big softz and techncl assistnc. Try Out All Of This Things Bro:-
    1. First Check BIOS USB Settings In System Boot(PC)- bcoz windows not detctng any hardware there may happen some forced orders in bios. SET ALL TO AUTOMATIC OR ENABLE.

    2. Goto System Hardware from My Computer Properties. Keep It Open. Switch Off Phone.
Connect Holding 'C' - did u notice some changes or movement. if yes goto step 3

    3. Look On USB Serial Devices. Do Something Reads Sony Ericsson Flash Drive or Something like that? yes! Then IS IT MARKED WITH QUESTION MARK IN YELLOW OR DISABLED? IF YES! HERE IS UR PROBLEM. U NEED TO ENABLE THE DEVICE OR REinstall The Drivers. Simplest Way I'll Suggest Download And RUN SEUS from Sony Ericsson Website.

    4. FORMAT XP! HA HA HA. No Other Tricks In Mind. Above 3 Steps Worked For Me! I Never tried 4th one.

    GOODLUCK BRO.........
