    k800i firmware and Yahoo Go

    Hi,

    I tried to install Yahoo Go application on to my k800i and got a message asking me to upgrade firmware to at least RIKC version.
    I went to SEUS and was told I already have latest firmware.
    I have Vodafone PAYG and don't want to change but I would like to install latest firmware.
    Details of my phone's firmware are listed below - any ideas about how I get to upgrade to RIKC?

    Thanks

    Doesn't mention what CID your phone is on in the details, so I can't see if it is ;
    latest. Well if XS++ say it is latest, it probably is and doesn't require updating. And the latest firmwire is CID 53 and I think it takes a while for Sony Ericsson to update branded firmwire's to CID 53 or somethin, since your is branded to Vodafone.

    you CAN'T use vodafone phones with seus, i could never update my vodafone k800, you will have to use xs++ you may aswell debrand it it looks and performs alot better without all the vodafone stuff.

    see here XS++ 3.1 Guide-Flashing,Customizing,Recovering - Top Sony Forums

    Thanks for your responses.

    I have downoaded XS++ as you recommended which gives the details below.

    I'm confused about the version of CID I have because both CID51 and CID52 are mentioned?

    Can anybody let me know how I get hold of latest firmware for my phone?

    Also, if I debrand will my Vodafone internet browsing settings go?
    Will I need to set everything up from scratch?

    Excuse my ignorance I'm new to this.

    Thanks

    your cid:52 the firmware is in the download section you can use K810i firmware if you want make sure it's cid:52 red.
    yes you will lose all the vodafone settings when you debrand, but i made this unbranded vodafone custpack it contains all vodafone wap links etc, i used it when i debranded my vodafone k800i it's for use with EUROPE_2 (attached).
