w810i flash menu problems

I have a w810i and I am having trouble getting the flash menus working.

I have no problem flashing the firmware with XS++ or adding files with Far Manager.

I place the .swf in:
/tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash

and the .thm file in:
/tpa/user/theme/

one of the tutorials said to put the .swf file in:
tpa/preset/custom/desktop/system/flash/
which doesn't exist so I didn't put them there.


The phone recognizes the theme but when I switch to it the menus don't change. I didn't modify any other files on the phone using far manager I just placed the files in the directories.

Something to note is that in the: /tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash directory where I am putting the .swf files, there is a file that says 'DisableFlash' or something to that effect.


I am using the W810_R4EA031_MAIN_CINGULAR_RED49 firmware as I have a cingular (AT&T) phone.

I have not tried the generic W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49 but I am assuming the same results.

you should try the generic firmware. it will work that way.

The menus still don't work, but...

now when I hit the menu button I get this message
"Errors occur in the menu.ml file. This may render the menu unusable"

more or less the Cingluar music icon no longer is there.

any other suggestions?

Is there an option that must be enabled in order to get these menus to work?

There no `options` that must be enabled,try another menu,i gess

I didn't think that there was any option that needed to be enabled.

I'll download a new menu that isn't a part of a pack and see if that works.

Edit:
No dice on the new themes...
any other ideas?

back up your GDFS and your contacts and full flash your phone with generic firmware (MAIN, FS and Custom files) then your flash menu's should work.

Want to like me instructions on the FS and custom files? I have the generic main but don't know what I should do for the other two.
