So, you want to get rid of operator's branding. In this case you don't need the Remove SIM-lock patch generator, because it is for unlocking (remove service provider lock) your phone.

You just need to debrand your phone with XS++, for this you need the following files:
    MAIN: a generic MAIN firmware(e.g. W580_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52).

FS: I suppose you need the English language only. In this case you can use ANY EUROPE_x or AMERICA_x FS(e.g. W580_R8BE001_FS_EUROPE_1_RED52 ). The only difference between FS files is the language support.

Custom pack: and you need a matching custom pack. XS++ has many incorporated custom packs (e.g.HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_10_R8A_GENERIC_EUROPE_1). In XS++ you can select from custom pack dropdown list the EUROPE_1 CDA102568/10(or something like this).

Thanks HEAPS for the help guys.. I know you get a ton of help requests like this, so the assistance is very appreciated.

I'm yet to do the operation, but I'm a lot more aware of what I'm doing now. Thanks again. :D

so debranding it is just removing all the SP stuff?
and unlocking is unlocking the sim lock (obvious)

if you debrand do you have to reset all your stuff?
    like internet etc?
