I know this is probably somewhere on the thread already, but can I do this with XS++ or Far manager? If so, can someone point me in the right direction for instructions? Thanks!!

To remove the operator name you need an edited layout, you can look for it here: Top Sony Forums - Search Forums :D

To upload the layout file to your phone you can use FAR Manager, SeTool2 Lite or XS++. Watch these videos to have an idea ;)
