Difference between background and standby image?

I know some themes include a standby.swf file in the theme pack, how do you get these to work, and when does it come on? Does the standby.swf have to be in ../desktop/flash or not?

My flash menus are working and my phone (w580i) is debranded.

Standby is not the same as "screensaver" right?

    Thanks,
    Ixs.

Does anyone know if uou can you use a flash animation as the background?
Is there even a point to this if a simple animated image will suffice?

Standby is when you slide your phone open and it says menu and calls.

Standby is the screen that is commonly referred to as background. It is different from screen saver which is the screen that is optional to have on, and is seen when the phone is slid shut.

Question difference between standby and screensaver

:rolleyes:stand by is the image or theme that is present when your phone is ready to make calls or receive, with details of operator is show in the display, the status of battery , signal from operator, date, time and others is seen on the back ground of image or theme, this is called stand by but the screen saver is one which is displayed when phone is in idle mode, there will no theme seen on display just the time or your pre setting saved image. this saves battery. all other information is not seen like in standby.:p
