CID 49 DB2010 K750-W800i Unlocking saga

Hi All

I’ve successfully flashed my k750i cid49 firmware up to the w800i cid 49 firmware. The phone is locked on Vodafone UK. I used the Simox’s Sim look generator to produce the VKP patch which I installed with se tools, however it’s still locked??

Ive used 2 different sets of firmware:

MAIN_W800_R1BC002_EMEA2_CID49BR
W800_R1BC002_FS_EMEA_2_RED49 these work brilliantly

2 different versions of Sim lock generator, I’ve used 3 different versions of se tools, and I’ve thried flashing with XS++. Farmanager with the sefp plugin will not work on my windows vista pc, nr will semc tools, 8.4 nor 8.7. I managed to flash my k800i with farmanager but that is with using Jdflasher. The sefp just causes module faults.

Any ideas?? I’ve posted the log below to see if you can let me know if im doing anything wrong?

Well, it looks like everything is ok. Your phone should be unlocked. Have you tried it with a non Vodaphone SIM card? You get the Network LOCKED line in log even if it is unlocked by patch...

inserted vodafone sim, works fine. three sim fails, says insert sim same with asda (02) ???

any ideas?

Ok, I’ve gone back to the sims and gone through my batch and see attached pics as follows:

The three sim is active as its been in my wife’s k800i that was unlocked at the SE factory when produced with no problems, her phone is being used as we speak with a three sim. However when inserted in the K800i thats been flashed with K810i firmware and unlocked with your sim lock software its inactive and when put in the k750i that’s been upgraded to w800i firmware and also unlocked with the vkp patch it doesn’t exist!

I was thinking that with the k750 maybe they don’t take 3g sims as this was bought direct from three 2 weeks ago?? But then I thought well if my wifes k800i takes the three sim then my k800i should do but go figure…inactive sim??

Any ideas? Have I gone wrongsomewhere?? As they both take Vodafone and tesco……………..I know that tesco use vodafones network and the k750i was a Vodafone phone, However ive just inserted a brand new Orange sim into the k750 and the k800 and its said welcome to orange then gone inactive sim on both of them?!
