Newbie problem

ok. i've just got myself a w580i.
It is under TIM Italy. i bought it from grey importer in Malaysia.

I can use it using my country's network, so i guess it is unlocked
problem is the theme, icons, menu(button)<- the buttom right icon, is still under TIM Italy, so is it still branded under TIM?

also, my chinese mp3 name are all now shown as square boxes..

after read thru some tutorials here and elsewhere (nse)

Just to seek confirmation and suggestion
i think i need to flash the main, fs and custom pack am i right?

and the main, fs and cp is these?

how about FAR? Setool? or only XS++ will do?

The files you got are correct, MAIN, FS and Custom pack. But HONG KONG is for traditional Chinese.
Top Sony - Languages Description
You will need CHINA, China is simplified chinese.

And for flashing you will need the flash drivers.
I used XS++ to flash mine because it seemed the easiest:
XS++ 3.1 Guide-Flashing,Customizing,Recovering - Top Sony Forums
But you can use others.

when i flash the MAIN/FS/CP, it will debrand the phone as well ?

add: i can't seem to find the firmware available, the R6 firmware will b alright?

Yes flashing the MAIN, FS and Custom pack will debrand. But it depends on the files you downlaod like if you download ORANGE MAIN obvious not, only like HONG KONG or CHINA or one of the EUROPE etc.

And yes you can use one of the other firmwire but both MAIN and FS needs to be the same.
