You are sure this isn't the SIM lock code?

When did the phone freeze? During the flash?

I flashed my phone first and then apply the sim-lock remove. Worked in about 30mins for both things. Just make sure you have all the necessary files and follow all the instructions carefully.

I have de-branded W580i and now it is working very well. I do have an internet, text messages, almost everything, except MMS but I don't mind. I am still using T-Mobile and I am happy.

But, my daughter has also Sony Ericsson W580i. I have tried to de-brand the phone and it did not work. This is what happened. I followed every single step in the guide and did it in the same way as the first phone. I have used Wotan. When the process finished and tried to turn on the phone, I have received message "Phone Lock Code" and all of the problems started at this point. Then my daughter told me that she used the security to create a code, which at the time she did not remember, and I think this caused the problems. If she told me before I started the process and to unlock the phone with lock code, I believe we won't experience the problems after the de-branding. I have used XS++++ to reset the phone lock code and it was done well but the application gave me 0000 codes, which I entered into the phone. Then asked me for the SIM, I put T-Mobile SIM card and then message "Please insert the correct SIM card" I removed and inserted few times T-Mobile SIM but I still receiving the same message over and over again. Then I did remember that I have the AT&T SIM (pre-paid) and I inserted it and the phone accepted the AT&T SIM. Now, what this means? The phone is locked again by the AT&T? Originally, I bought the phone unlocked and my conclusions are from what I did many times the phone doesn't except other providers SIMs but it accepts AT&T SIM so, it is locked again. What I need to do in order my phone to work again with other providers SIMs cards? I have paid twice for Wotan de-branding process. So, I did de-brand/ flash twice the phone. Do I have any other options? We called Sony Ericsson and they want we to send the phone and they to fix it. I believe it has very simple solution to this problem but I am not expert regarding cell phones.

Which phone lock code I need? I don't know what to do. Can somebody help me with this? And, which provider now to call AT&T or T-Mobile? So, I insert AT&T SIM - work (the phone has service) and I insert T-Mobile SIM - doesn't work (message: Please insert the correct SIM). Any help, advices, suggestions, I would appreciate. Please help with something??????? Thank you in advance.

I'm a little confused. You said you used XS++ to reset the phone lock? How did you do this? Also, what provider were the phones branded for originally? You need to do a SIM patch unlock usin SETool in order to use another provider's SIM. De-branding a phone does not unlock to all providers. You must do this seperately. Also since you create a patch unlock using the firmware file, you can't use the Wotan file. If you create a SIM patch unlock from a different firmware version than the wotan firmware version, it will most likely not work.

When you reply, please clarify when you use the term "lock". There are many "locks". There is a SIM security "lock" which requires a pin, a phone security "lock" which requires a pin, and a carrier "lock" which allows you to use other carrier's SIMs in a phone.

If I have mis-spoken about the info above, I apologize. Please feel free to correct me.
