I cant seem to find the correct firmware version for my phone R1ED001

I only want to unlock it to use another SIM.

Can this be done ?

I think you can use the Generic MAIN, unsure about your network. But thats the only main there.

And yes unlocking can be done using this:
Remove SIM-lock patch generator - Top Sony Forums
And your phone is DB2020 and CID52, It will patch unlock the phone.

What about the FS file ?

Is it included in that archive ?

I assume these are both .mbn and .fbn files ?

BTW the phone just now is 3G network and i am looking to use a T-Mobile SIM although, Any network will do preferrably O2.

The FS isn't included. And I'm not sure what to recomend, I think you might want to change the R1ED001 into something else with more firmwires.

So, I can flash another firmware version ?

I found these files elsewhere as i dont have the privilige of access to the download area.

W850_R1ED001_MAIN_GENERIC_CY_RED52
And
W850_R1ED001_FS_S_ASIA_LEVAN_RED52

Now if i flash using those, I will have asian language right ?

Is there a tutorial for changing firmware versions ?

Yes flashing those you will can use Asian language

Top Sony - Languages Description

You will have:
English - Arabic - Persian-Farsi - French - Hebrew - Russian

One more thing you require to change the language is the custom pack.

My advice is, DO NOT use the W850_R1ED001_MAIN_GENERIC_CY_RED52.mbn, because it is corrupted, and you will brick your phone. Here is a thread about this problem: SIMLockPatchGen Error!!

Use instead W850_R1KG001_MAIN_GENERIC_CY_RED52.mbn for e.g.

where can i find custom pack for

firmware coz the one xs++ dont got Persian-Farsi - French - Hebrew on it and when i shotdown the phone all the deta i have added will be removed so i have do it agen ?
