tried to unlock

hi i have a w580i and i debranded it by flashing W580_R8BA024_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52 using setool2lt and the W580_R8BA024_FS_CENT_EUROPE_RED52 i then flashed the quick acess patch and the main firmware again with the quick acess patch i then made a sim lock remover with the sim lock patch gen programme and i applied that with setool2lt which all appeared to go well the <**< showed the locks as open and the padlocks had a 5 at the side of them but it still would only accept a sim card from the original locked network which was orange what did i do wrong please help thanks

i have even flashed with a different main and fs and made new patch and tried again from scratch but still the same it appears unlocked in the phone <**< but will only accept orange card

I wonder if your phones were originally not CID52 and you flashed CID52 firmware without 1st upgrading the CID

if this is the case is there any way to go back and fix it ?

if i use the sony ericsson update tool thing will this revert the phone back to what it was originally to the cid51 firmware or not or does anybody have a cid51 red firmware for the w580i they could send me for me to flash my handset with then update the cid to 52 before reflashing?

i just did the whole thing yesterday and it worked perfectly for me... this is the 2nd time i did it just followed the tutorial....i think they were cid51 and i used cid52 files and it worked...

did xs ask you to upgrade the cid or did you just put the firmware strait on ?

sorrry just checked them they were cid52... =(
