Cant unlock W810i

First of all thanks to the forum members for giving details on flashing, unlocking that a novice like me learn few things.

I tried unlocking W810i with SEtool lite 1.0 updated to 1.1 but couldnt succeed

I followed the following steps -

Using Xs++, found the DB and firmware
Downloaded generic firmware
Using SEtoollite 'Read GDFS' for backup
Using patch generator (thanks to simox) generated the vkp
Now selected SEtool 1.1. Selected the mbn, fbn files
Also selected vkp in misc..button and Flashed it successfull
PAtched it with the Tool 'write script'
Now while i tried by cliking 'unlock' button, Tool just identifies the phone but didnt unlock

Not sure where I went wrong. Please advise

Edit: I used W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49.mbn ; W810_R4EA031_FS_EUROPE_2_RED49.fbn for flashing.

Did you test it with other sim card?

I did but got the same message 'Insert SIM card' error as i was getting earlier.

I think Ur phone not detect SIM Card, try check phone lock status with command keys: Left, * , right, right, *, right, *. goto service menus\ information\ SIM locks .

After I flash and patch with Setoollite it just debranded but not unlocked. When I insert o2 it just identifies but throws up key unlock code for all other SIMS.

I think the VKP patch with simox tool is not correct. Do i need to convert to ssw file for W810i unlock ?...

Seriously, the patch generated from W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49.mbn was tested by me and works.

Follow any DB2010 CID49 unlocking tutorial, and you will be able to unlock your phone.

Can anyone tell if i need to flash my phone for unlocking OR just apply patch with unlocker tool and it unlocks ? Justwant to know if we can avoid flashing in this process.

you don't need to flash, you need the MAIN on your phone to generate the unlock patch and then apply the patch.

..... It must be the same version. If your phone version is RA2HN3 i just need to download the same MAIN flash file and create patch with Simox patch generator. Then write the patch with SE tool 2 lite and your phone will be unlocked. If your phone is branded then u need to flash it with debranded FW, create patch and write the patch :)
