    Unlocking via <**< questions

There is any calculator to unlock the phone via <**<? Does it need to be a certain type of code? I mean if there is no calculator, the carrier could simply write down any code to dont let us unlock it? or its related to IMEI and should have one calculator?

Simply calculating it is not possible for SE phones.

Some vendors are providing unlock codes if you give them your IMEI. So these people somehow "access" the codes from a special database? BTW it doesn't work for Z710i because they only give you the Netowrk code but the phone (at least those locked to Fido in Canada) is SP unlocked as well. I wasted 40USD on it.

Is unlocking with <**< not the same thing as unlocking on the regulair way(take sim out, fill in code)? So there isn't another way to unlock?

    That's the regular way.

Another way is the free patch method posted here. The method is not permanent. If you upgrade the firmware say by SEUS, it will become locked again.

Then its because any code, IMEI independant, can be used as code?

I don't really understand what you mean.
We've got good tutorials in the Tutorials section if you want to unlock your phone.

I mean like this: In simple words, the carrier get the phone, enter the personalization menu and write down a password to lock the phone. Does it works like that? If i call my carrier and ask for this code, it should work for any phone from that carrier then... ill try that if my new phone comes simlocked, otherwise, my old will still be locked...

The codes are unique for every phone.

I think it's similar to the procedure you mentioned, but I don't think the providers write the lock code in the phone themselves.
It will definitely not work for every phone of the same carrier, that would be very bad for them ;)
Just imagine one person gets it's code and publishes it on the internet. Suddenly all the phones of the carrier would be unlocked :D
