Hi everyone. I am quite glad to have found this site. I have been looking through here. I found so much good information and everyone seems very friendly. *thumbs up*

Well, the reason why I'm here is I "semi-bricked" my phone. I believe this is correct term. I looked over the forum/subforums and such and found a lot of great information. Yet, they did not help with my situation. So, I am seeking some personal help.

This is how it went down. I was modding my phone. Everything was going fine. I patched all the .vpk files I wanted. I checked my phone. It was working. Then, I noticed another patch. I decided to patch that vkp as well. The process went well. No errors. Then, I turned on my phone. It wouldn't turn on. I tried charging it. Nothing happened. I tried to connect it to SetTool and XS++. It wouldn't connect. Note, being the forgetful person I am somtimes, I did not back up any files. Feeling frustrated, I went for a walk. When, I came back I noticed all the files were gone including the logs.

So today after reading many post, I decided to try it again. I charged my phone over 4 hours to make sure it was at 100%. I connected it to the PC. And attempted to connect to XS++. It worked. Here is the log.

So, what do I need to get my phone working again?

Phone can connect to XS++ but not Setool2Lite.

Try to remove the battery, wait some minutes than re-insert the battery. If it not change try setool for removing the last patch.

You must made a full flash ( main, filesystem and custom file ), because some other users had the same problem after applying patches and they made a full flash and it worked again. Here is a guide :

i flashed my phone for the first time using SETool 2 Lite and didn't have any problems. i got lucky i guess.

in looking at the XS++ 3.1 Guide, it seems that XS++ is a better app to use.

I've tried XS++ on my W810i and it worked great and I also tried setool for my W580i worked great as well...but I still feel W580i is more convenient, just put all files in and flash it...

would reflashing the phone solve your problem?

dude, when patching goes bad or basically nearly any process in setool2 lite, just flash your Main. no matter they say that they can't open the GDFS, just flash your Main, trust me or flash a GDFS backup if you have one (so u won't lose your patches)

always keep backup ur GDFS before flashing
imo you just need 2 flash MAIN+FS+CUSTOM FILE
or try repair feature in setool lite.
