    Exclamation W580i Water Damage

Talking about doing the wrong thing thewrong time at the wrong place....:mad:

The phone fell into the sink (with water)...... Took SIM/battery out and used a blow dryer for 1/2 hour......looks like all the keys/functions work EXCEPT the LCD display is flashing.......any suggestions? (And I know getting a new phone would be the permanent solution.....but cant afford one.....) :(

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's probably not totally dry. You should disassemble the phone and dry each separate part thoroughly. Note that no shop will fix your phone because there's a little indicator inside the phone that changes color if it has come into contact with water.

I guessed you are right.....I left everything on the desk for one night and this morning the LCD is back to life.....

Will probably have someone who knew how to fix phones to take a look....I dare not taking the phone apart :p

that is very good that the LCD is back to life. that is very good to hear.

i have dropped a couple phones in water in the past and couldn't get the LCD back to 100% operational. i guess i was not as lucky.
