Any problem for non rest?

hi everybody, a couple days ago, i have used far+jdflasher to copy a *.swf file into fs/tpa/.../flash for using a flash theme. And after doing that, i have tried to rest the phone be4 exiting the far. however, there was no suitable rest file for my w810i. cause that was my first time to use far, i was totally a noob. Even i cannt start my mobile for a long time. Today i find a rest file on a forum, but it is in *.rest.mbn and i have no idea how to use it as the rest file for jdflasher is *.rest. i have tried xs++, but i couldnt find correct cda in the list. Then i tried to use smartphone connect, but there is no response for more than 3 mins. During that time i was always holding "c", after that 3mins, a miracle appears!!! suddenly a white screen flash once. After that i can start my mobile and use flash theme as normal. So i just want to ask if i did not rest my phone by using correct rest file, is any problem? is that harmful for my phone? Thanks !!!!!!!!!!

A wrong rest file can brick your phone, but as long as you have a good GDFS backup, the phone can be revived. But it looks like the rest file you found is good. JDFlasher and SETool2 Lite use the same rest files, except they use different file naming convention. But if the phone works, then there is no problem :)

Why you search for rest files when you can make one with [FarManager_folder]\Plugins\jdflasher\rest\mkrest2.exe
Usage: mkrest2 Your_MAIN_firmware

Thanks, cuase i have never ever used these software be4, and havent got Main_firmware yet. The problem is the rest is not successful. It shows failure on the XS++ logs . Did phone get self recovery software? It seems recovery by itself. But anyways thanks very much

When you flash the rest file with XS++ will not finish it automatically. You need to press the stop button, and XS++ says that the flashing failed. But in reality everything is ok.
