    help me to understand

Hi forum, please correct me if I'm wrong..

There are 2 ways to unlock a db2010 phone (as my w810i):

    1) when the phone is a CID49, is possible unlock it with simox Remove SIM-lock patch generator BUT if i re-flash the phone (because i would like to add Italian language) i lose the patch and i have to unlock newly with simox tool. Correct?

2)with setool3 i can always unlock my w810i AND if i re-flash the phone (because i would like to add Italian language) i do not lose the unlocked. Correct?

    3)do not exist others ways.

This is important because i have an unlocked T-mobile UK phone and i must insert the Italian language without losing the unlock:)

    Really Thanks for your help

    1) If you don´t flash Main you won´t loose the patchunlock, I think...
    2) Yes
    3) permanent unlock possible with service cable and cracked USB-Smart

    Cheers!

you could first flash your phone with the firmware containing italian language and then patch to unlock the phone, to permanently unlock it you need a service cable and a lot of knowledge to do it so your phone won't brick. So unlock it by patch after you flash your phone with the fw that has italian. Also you said your phone is unlocked allready. Is it unlocked by patch? if not then you don't need to worry, if it is not unlocked by patch than you can flash it and it won't get locked, if it is unlocked by patch than use simox's unlock patch gen. and generate a patch for the MAIN you use. it easy and simple.

    1. Yes, can unlock with Setool.
    2. When reflash Main - lose unlock patch, but again with Setool can put unlock patch.

as a matter a fact, in order to change language you only need to flash FS - same version as your main is (and custom files) so you don't tuch main therefore your phone will stiil be unlocked

This means that in xs++ when i flashing the phone i can not select Main (jumping this step) and select directly the FS and Custom file ? Flashing works jumping the Main selection step ?

yes it works, but be sure you have FS version that matches yout main firmware version. otherwise instability may occur.

for w810i for example, if you have a R4EA031 main you can flash a R4ED001 FS BUT generany speking both versions should be the same = R4ED001 for the phone to work correctly. so this w810i is only a particular case in which flashig different version work without any trouble at all.
