Extracting Firmware

Hi
is it possible to "rip" (extract) the main and fs parts of the firmware from your phone to your pc as the original .mbn and .fbn files??

Here is Tutorial for extracting FS

You can definitely pull individual files out of the FS on the phone, but I don't think you can actually extract images of the whole firmware and FS.
