Newbie w810i patching

Hi guys, got a new black w810i, trying to unlock using tutorials on here, the problem i have is when using setool 1.11 it does'nt seem to find my phone! I follow the instructions but when i press write script, press c button and connect usb cable, the progress bar along bottom just keeps going (2 hours this morning) and nothing happens! where am i going wrong? Not sure if it's cid 49 or 50 (how do you tell?) Thanks. P.S should sim card be in or out during this operation (have tried both ways without success)

did you install the usb drivers for the phone? install SEUS start it, connect the phone and let it do the job, when it gets to ask you if you want to upgrade or it says you have the latest firmware close and disconnect. then start SeTool press Identify press and hold C while connecting the cable. look in that identification, you can see if your phone is CID 49 or 50. you also need to know if the patch is for your firmware. please post the log.

Ok have installed everything from installation disk which i assume has usb drivers im running setool 1.11 how long should it take to identify?

The PC Suite Etc In The Installation Wont Have USB Flash Drivers. Install SEUS, Use It To Detect Your Phone And Disconnect. Now Use SeTool. Detecting Takes A Second Or Two.
