yes, your phone could burst into flames and explode in your pocket and you ending dead! just joking :) there won't be any phisical harm done to the phone. :) Don't be angry with me for my sarcasm but you question is dumb. As long as you have a back-up of your GDFS there is no way damaging your phone by patching. Please read some more before asking. You would have found your answer, they were answered.
