umm.... for the SE T610/630 there was a how-to for those internet buttons...
i cant find it now and i dont know if it still works for newer phones (like your K770)
but try to set the start-page for the phones browser to "mailto:"
my T610 goes into the new message menu when i press the internet-button on the side of the phone.

edit:

i found something that should be working with your phone.
menu -> settings -> connectivity -> data comm. -> data accounts -> [chose your usual data account] -> Edit -> ask for password (or something similar.. my W810 doesn't have that point in the menu)
now your phone should always ask for a password before it tries to connect to the internet. :)

Sorry for the slow reply. Thanks for that Yazoo, I don't know what is actually causing it, the phone was fine and then one day it kept opening the browser. It seems to be mainly when I click the back button or left soft key (which has never been set up for internet access). Strange problem but if I return it to 3 I will probably never see it again.
