You can do it in photo dj.

You use photoshop to make it, but the background must be transparent.

Create a transparent image in photoshop...
Put the image above it that you want... now delete the not required part... its simple.

did it work? i read somewhere else that the transperent parts should be colored black

It depends on which software you use to make the transparent parts.
For example, I use Photoshop, and I just have to delete some parts to be transparent and just save it in .png format.

It works :D
